At Association Management Strategies (AMS) a Navista Company, we
offer a full spectrum of management services designed to meet the
goals and objectives of our association clients. We tailor our services
to meet the needs of each of our clients.
At AMS, we provide all of our clients with the following standard

Full Service Headquarters:
Located in Washington, D.C, minutes away from most federal agencies,
AMS will provide each client with its own identity as an autonomous
association.
Executive Management:
Highly trained executive staff with over 75 years of combined experience
in association management. AMS account executives have experience
in virtually all aspects of association management including, but
not limited to; governance; financial management and budgeting;
board and committee support; meeting management including development
of agendas and content; strategic planning; and, management oversight.
Administrative Management:
Talented administrative professionals that will provide the support
needed to carry out the day to day goals and objectives of the organization.
AMS’s administrative professionals will work at the direction
of the chief staff officer to carry out the daily operations, programs
and initiatives of the association. Typical responsibilities of
AMS administrative professionals include filing, database management,
website maintenance, membership services (including processing new
member applications and materials), meeting management, newsletters,
list serve maintenance and routine correspondence and reports.
Financial Management:
AMS’s accounting department provides complete financial management
and oversight of our association clients. Services provided by the
AMS accounting department include accounts payable and accounts
receivable management, credit card processing, deposit of funds,
disbursements for authorized expenditures and monthly financial
statements. Oversight of annual CPA audit and tax return filings.
Certification:
Certification is important to many associations and the professions
and industries they serve. Certification can be the key to professional
status, recognition, financial success and a sense of personal achievement.
AMS currently administers professional certification and credentialing
programs in the insurance, medical and metal finishing industries.
AMS works with a number of professional testing organizations
and can administer any facet of a certification and credentialing
program.

MEETING & EVENT MANAGEMENT
With AMS’s meeting and event management your meetings and
events will be professionally planned, managed and executed within
budget parameters. AMS staff has experience in every aspect of meeting
and event management including; site selection; contract negotiations;
budgeting; registration; on-site management; hotel coordination;
and, off-site events/destination management companies.
AMS has experience in managing local, national and international
meetings that range in attendance from small intimate events to
tradeshows with thousands of attendees.
AMS Vice President Chris Murphy currently sits on the Advisory
Board for Conference Direct a full service meeting solutions company
that offers contract negotiation/site-selection, conference management,
housing and registration services. Additionally, Chris previously
served as the Executive Director of the Association of Meeting Professionals
(AMPS) a nonprofit association that represents and fosters the educational
and professional needs of people working in meeting management industry.
AMS has experience working with vendors and developing sponsorship
programs that will increase non-dues revenue generating income for
every organization.
AMS does not accept hotel commissions or participate in any other
industry rebate programs in order to pass on savings directly to
our clients.
